Zircon sand(powder) Zirconium Silicate

Zircon sand, also known as zircon sand and zircon stone, is a mineral mainly composed of zirconium silicate.

Zircon sand(powder) Zirconium Silicate

introduction

Zircon sand (powder), chemically known as Zirconium Silicate, is a naturally occurring zirconium silicate mineral. Its chemical formula is ZrSiO₄. It typically occurs as small tetragonal crystals, varying in color from colorless and pale yellow to yellowish-brown or gray, with an adamantine luster. Its core physicochemical properties include high hardness (Mohs hardness ~7.5), high melting point (~2550°C), and extreme chemical stability (resistant to acids, alkalis, molten glass, and metal corrosion).

application

After being upgraded and purified through physical methods like gravity, magnetic, and electrostatic separation, zircon sand can be used directly or further processed into fine powder. Its core application value lies in its high-temperature performance, corrosion resistance, and optical properties.
