Calcined Rutile

Calcined rutile is produced by calcining natural rutile at a high temperature at high rotational density. It is usually slightly red in color and is suitable for production needs of high-demand applications such as low-hydrogen, ultra-low-hydrogen welding rods, and flux-cored welding wires.

Calcined Rutile

introduction

Calcined rutile represents a value-added, upgraded form of rutile—a strategic mineral resource—achieved through precisely controlled high-temperature calcination.

In welding applications, high-grade calcined rutile is a core component in electrode and wire coatings. Its optimized crystal structure and electrical properties significantly enhance arc stability, improve slag characteristics, and contribute to higher weld quality and improved mechanical properties of the weld metal.

CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS

80-97% TiO2

Calcined rutile into welding consumables is not merely a filler addition. It fundamentally optimizes the arc physics, metallurgical reactions, and operational performance of the welding process. It is a key functional material for achieving high-quality, efficient, and reliable welded joints, extensively used in critical sectors such as shipbuilding, pressure vessel fabrication, pipeline construction, and heavy steel structures.
